Well, it’s about time we got this show off the ground — it’s great to finally be able to welcome you to the Cheerfully Given Blog! It’s been such a busy few months since our launch that the blog has taken a bit of a back seat, but we’re ready to get started and where better to begin than a few words of introduction?
Who are we?
We’re a group of Christian creatives (there are around 45 of us now and growing each month!) each running our own little businesses — mostly from our homes, and based all over the UK. Cheerfully Given itself is run by Menekse in our Nottingham HQ with a happy team of helpers based around the East Midlands and beyond. As we continue to grow, our profits will go back into helping our sellers grow their businesses through training and development, as well as sharing the awesome news of Jesus through different creative events and endeavours.
What do we want to achieve?
As Christians, we serve the true Designer who created all things, and as a result, we think we should be leading the way instead of lingering 20 years behind everyone else! We want to build community and share the risen Jesus through creativity and the creative arts.
We are mostly based online, so this blog is a way for us to connect with you guys each week and share some of our favourite things. We’ll have regular contributors, and will share more about them as they come on board and publish articles.
What can you expect from the Cheerfully Given blog?
With a mix of authors comes a mix of topics, passions, and experiences. Mostly though, articles will focus on creativity, hospitality, serving our local communities, and encouraging one another. Within that, we’ll have everything from interviews with our sellers to book reviews, recipes, DIYs, tutorials, and opinion pieces.
We love to collaborate with others, so we’ll be profiling some of our favourite organisations and people outside the immediate seller community too.
Some of it will be raw and vulnerable, some of it will be colourful and fun, but we hope all of it will encourage you to grow closer to Christ and find joy in the ordinary.
Lots of love,
Menekse and the Cheerfully Given team x
